Jalal Bouhdada Managing partner

Jalal Bouhdada is a seasoned entrepreneur, investor, and strategic advisor with a strong track record in industrial cybersecurity, technology growth, and corporate strategy. As the founder of Applied Risk, he led the company to become a leading global player in industrial cybersecurity, culminating in its successful acquisition by DNV in 2021. 

With extensive experience in scaling businesses, market positioning, and technology innovation, Jalal also serves as an advisor to multiple startups and venture capital firms, guiding them on strategy, technology, and growth acceleration. His expertise extends to innovation and policy advisory, where he holds board positions in key industry associations, including EE-ISAC, ENISA, the International Society of Automation (ISA), and the World Economic Forum (WEF). 

Lennard Zwart Managing Partner

Lennard started his career working in structured finance at Morgan Stanley and Deutsche Bank in London. Feeling the entrepreneurial itch he moved back to the Netherlands to found CloudVPS, which went on to become the most prominent cloud provider in the Netherlands. In 2015 he sold his company and became active in venture capital though his own family office, making a number of successful investments in cybersecurity and fintech.

At CTRL-ALT-INVEST, Lennard contributes to our portfolio companies on topics related to strategy, marketing, funding and finance. Over the last couple of years Lennard has been deeply involved in the AI space, gaining extensive domain knowledge and establishing a strong network. Lennard is engaged in several initiatives related to the safe and responsible implementation of this powerful technology and the creation of a strong Dutch AI ecosystem.

Maarten Timmerman Managing Partner

After having worked for 10 years in the banking industry in the Netherlands and London, Maarten was co-founder of a development company of renewable energy projects. In 2017, he joined cybersecurity start-up Cybersprint which he, together with founder Pieter Jansen, led to a successful Exit to Darktrace in 2022. In 2024, he co-founded cybersecurity company Modat, where he currently serves as a CFO. Next to strategic and commercial topics, Maarten in particular focusses on finance, funding, legal and HR.

Pieter Jansen Managing Partner

Pieter Jansen is a Dutch cybersecurity expert and entrepreneur, best known as the founder and former CEO of Cybersprint, a prominent attack surface management and digital risk protection company. With over 25 years of experience in the IT security field, Jansen has made significant contributions to how organizations manage their online threats and vulnerabilities. His career spans hands-on technical roles, strategic leadership in his own startup, and later an executive position at a global cybersecurity firm following a successful acquisition.
